Rachel Haden (born October 11, 1971 in New York City, NY) played bass guitar for that dog. in the early 1990s, a band that also included her sister Petra.

Overview

Rachel Haden co-founded that dog. in 1992, and in 1995, briefly became a member of The Rentals, along with Weezer’s Matt Sharp and Patrick Wilson, and Supersport 2000's Rod Cervera. In 1996, she performed lead vocals on Weezer’s "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams", the only released Weezer song to feature female lead vocals. This song was originally written for the abandoned Songs from the Black Hole album. Haden was Rivers Cuomo's choice to play the "good girl" character, Laurel. In 2001, Rachel performed backup vocals on several tracks on Jimmy Eat World's breakout album Bleed American, and toured as a backup singer and keyboardist. In 2005 she rejoined the reunited Rentals for touring and recording. She has since left the band.
On January 21, 2011 she joined Weezer on stage for the encore at their Memories Tour show in Las Vegas to sing "I Just Threw Out the Love of My Dreams" for the first time live with the band.
