"Heart of the Past" was presumably written by Rivers Cuomo in 2002. Weezer is known to have demoed the song acoustically at S.I.R. Rehearsal Studios in Los Angeles on October 18 and again on October 21 of 2002.[1] No demos currently exist in circulation.
