Relient K is a Christian pop-punk band. They released a cover of "Surf Wax America" in 2011 as part of a covers album entitled Is For Karaoke. They had performed the song live since 2007 before recording the studio version. The band has acknowledged Weezer in interviews, and the music press has drawn comparisons between them.
