January 1 - Rivers Cuomo records the demo for "I Can't Forget The Way," later notable as the first song performed at Weezer's first concert.

March 19 - Matt and Rivers move into the Amherst House
March 19 - Weezer's first show. This took place at Raji's, a club on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA.
March 30 - Weezer's second show. This took place at the Whisky a Go Go, on Hollywood Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA. The event took place during "No Bozo Jam" night (short sets).

April 7 - Weezer's third show. This took place at 8121 Club in Los Angeles, CA. This was the first of numerous acoustic shows the band would play.
April 13 - Weezer's fourth show. This took place at the Whisky a Go Go, on Hollywood Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA. The event took place during "No Bozo Jam" night (short sets).
