Overview

"Clarinet Waltz" was recorded by Cuomo at Los Angeles Valley College in April of 1994 (possibly April 24, according to the Catalog O' Riffs). Originally released to fans online in the early 2000s, the song eventually appeared on Alone III: The Pinkerton Years in 2011. The book The Pinkerton Diaries credits an "Unknown LAVC pianist" accompanying Cuomo.

An additional rehearsal recording of the song, labeled "Clarinet Waltz- slow," appeared as part of the digital compilation Alone IV: The Blue-Pinkerton Years, released in 2020.
