2001 Green Album leak
Around early 2001, fourteen songs from the album session were leaked. Most of them featured slightly different edits or song parts, all were unmastered. Some of the songs appeared under early titles. It is unknown who leaked the songs.
Maladroit demos

Weezer distributed demos of songs for the album that would become Maladroit on the band's official website soon after the release of The Green Album.
Songs from the Forthcoming "Maladroit"
Songs from the Forthcoming "Maladroit" is a CD music sampler released by Weezer in 2002, without the knowledge or permission of the band's label, Geffen. Following the release of the CD, various radio stations began airing the new songs, and publications began reviewing them, which brought the attention of Geffen. The label subsequently insisted that Rivers Cuomo write a letter to every radio station that had been sent the CD, asking them to hold off on promoting the tracks until the record company was ready to service the "Dope Nose" single.

The "Album 5 demos" are a collection of songs recorded in 2002 for the band's planned fifth album. All of the demos from this period were ultimately scrapped, though elements from certain songs were reworked for future songs. Weezer's actual fifth album, Make Believe, would not see release until 2005.

A demo of "I Need Some of That," alleged to have been recorded in 2009, was sold by a private collector in late 2024 and leaked on January 30, 2025.
