The song was included in the demo compilation ''[[Deliverance at Hand!]]'', a CD-R that Cuomo presented to his bandmates containing songs in contention for the band's planned [[Weezer (The Red Album)|sixth album]]. Shriner was encouraged to sing the song after fighting for its inclusion on ''Red'' (where it was ultimately released as a bonus track on deluxe issues of the album).
