{{Karlification box|During the "Hooptie Tour", a day of studio time was booked at DC's small Monster Island Studios. A whopping 13 recordings were churned out, of which 10 were finished up. The purpose of the demos was to send some songs to some producers for the next album sessions, which where already loosely scheduled for late in 2001. As it turned out, the band eventually chose to go without an official producer. Several of these demos were released in mp3 format on weezer.com.|[https://web.archive.org/web/20140519062342if_/http://daveandnikolai.com/wzr/classic/03_Recording_History/WeezRecHist13.html Weezer Recording History, Page 13]}} | {{Karlification box|During the "Hooptie Tour", a day of studio time was booked at DC's small Monster Island Studios. == "Adio", June 6, 2001 ==
This song was written for [[wikipedia:Enrique Iglesias|Enrique Iglesias]] after someone in his circle had asked if Cuomo wanted to submit a song for him. Two takes of the song were recorded in an unknown studio in Manhattan. Iglesias didn't end up using the song, and even Cuomo doubted he would use it due to the roughness of the demo.

{{Karlification box|Right before going to Europe, Rivers went into a studio to do a demo. Apparently he was asked by somebody in the Enrique Iglesias world if he wanted to submit a song for Enrique. The details of how all this came about are unclear, and it is known that the song was not used by Enrique. Two takes (one incomplete) of "A Dio" were recorded at an unknown Manhattan studio. Rivers commented at the time that there wasnt enough time to get the song down properly, so he doubted the demo was together enough to be considered for Enriques next album. And apparently he was right.|[https://web.archive.org/web/20140519062342if_/http://daveandnikolai.com/wzr/classic/03_Recording_History/WeezRecHist13.html Weezer Recording History, Page 13]}}

These were recorded for BBC Radio 1 in London. Instead of doing four songs from ''Green'', the band instead did eight completely new songs. Four were broadcast, while the other four weren't finished until [[July 9]].

{{Karlification box|BBC evening sessions. Normally your'e supposed to do 4 tracks that were on your album, but Weezer insisted on doing all new material, and doing twice as much as required!
