-The idea of creating a Weezer website was first discussed by ohjonas and megasnorkel in July of 2008.  The two talked briefly before realizing they both wanted the same things out of a Weezer fansite.  A month later, in August of 2008, the domain for Weezerpedia was purchased.  The wiki software was installed.  Unfortunately, an error was made and after creating nearly thirty pages, the wiki crashed and ohjonas and megasnorkel had to start from scratch.
-Ohjonas' good friend, Soupandballoons, was brought on board to help with the wiki project.  Soupandballoons had work with creating his own wikis and was also the one who helped ohjonas execute the [[Fake "Pork and Beans" lyrics]] prank.
 ==Pre-Launch==
 From August 2008 until September 2008, Weezerpedia was worked on exclusively by ohjonas, megasnorkel and soupandballoons.  About one month into production, ohjonas sent emails to [[Karl Koch]] and [[Sarah C. Kim]] explaining what Weezerpedia was.  Responses from the two were very positive, and completely unexpected by the site creators.
