"Say It Ain't So," written by Rivers Cuomo is the third single from The Blue Album.  It was also released on July 13, 1995 as a radio single"Say It Ain't So" was one of the earliest Weezer songs to be writtenOriginally, Rivers had written all of the music and had only the line "Say it ain't so".  Rivers made the connection between the line and an experience he had in high school where he came home to find a bottle of alcohol (belonging to his stepfather) in the refrigeratorRivers recalled that around the time his first father left, he started drinking. He began to fear that Steven, his step father, would soon leave his mother much the way his father did.
"Tired of Sex" is the lead song from 1996's Pinkerton.  It is one of the most abrasive songs in Weezer's catalogThe song is known for its distorted guitars and being one of the few songs in which Rivers Cuomo screamsIn this song, Rivers Cuomo rants about meaningless groupie sex encounters. Reciting his list of conquests, and wondering why true love eludes him.

Although originally written as a self reflective song, "Tired of Sex" was one of several songs reworked into Songs from the Black Hole as the project began to take formIt is most likely that "Tired of Sex" created the entire basis of SFTBH.  Being the very first song Rivers wrote for both albums, and because the Black Hole was not yet formed, Tired of Sex would have been the first song inserted into the equation presumably after Blast Off! Accordingly, Tired of Sex would have set the story.
