Sharp plays bass and sings backing vocals on [[The Blue Album]] and [[Pinkerton]]. While playing live, he would commonly play the wrong notes and sing out of key due to what fans suspect was boredom. He also, however, was known for having the most energy of any of the band members on stage, and many fans miss his enthusiasm on stage. His most memorable contribution to Weezer has probably been his falsetto backing vocals. On songs like [[Say It Ain't So]], [[Jamie]], and [[Surf Wax America]], Sharp's falsetto is preeminently featured and is a major part of the song. Sharp is also known for his goofy, energetic sung-spoken lyrics. Examples of this are "How cool is that?" from [[El Scorcho]] and "I've had it!" from [[The Good Life]].
Sharp recorded Bass and Vocals on [[The Blue Album]] and [[Pinkerton]].
