Weezerpedia's featured song is a monthly showcase of a song from one of the many bands we cover. Weezerpedia has thousands of song pages, and our editors work together each month to select one that sheds light on the bands/topics we cover, highlights or "platforms" a band we want to support, etc. We have similar pages for featured articles, featured videos, featured images, and featured quotes. Weezerpedia:Featured list is being put on hiatus for a spell.

Featured song: "Thank God for Girls"

"Thank God for Girls" is the lead single and third track from The White Album. The song was released as a single on October 26, 2015, before the existence of the White Album had yet been announced.

Rivers Cuomo first tweeted the words "Thank God for girls" on January 6, 2010, and was the original title for Cuomo's song "Fun in the Sun" by Scott & Rivers."Thank God for Girls" was co-written by songwriter/producer Alex Goose. Cuomo wrote the songs lyrics and melody around an instrumental demo recorded by Goose. Goose also received an additional production credit on the final song, as the organ from his demo was used for the final version.

The existence of "Thank God for Girls" first became known to fans when the title appeared on the 'Future Releases' section on allaccess.com with a release date of October 27. An e-mail newsletter was sent to Weezer Fan Club members on September 27, wherein Karl Koch confirmed that while new music was indeed being worked on, the aforementioned release date "was totally a guess by that site." Weezer debuted "Thank God for Girls" live in concert on October 20 at iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, CA. The first music video, wherein actor Galen Howard messily consumes a stack of cannolis, was released on October 25, with the single itself releasing on October 26.
