Featured song: "Mad Kow"

"Mad Kow" is a Weezer demo from the early 2000's.

The band played the song live numerous times in the summer of 2000, and initial recordings of the song were done at DA-88 at Cole Rehearsals in Los Angeles in July of that year. In November, Rivers Cuomo chose to include the song on a bootleg record he semi-officially released via Weezer.com.

"Mad Kow" was revived in March of 2002 during early demo sessions for the follow up to Maladroit. These recordings were done at Westlake Recording Studios in West Hollywood. The band subsequently performed the song live at a few shows during that same month. One version of song recorded that summer features piano by session musician Ryan "Shmedly" Maynes. Rivers Cuomo also played the song during a session on the video streaming platform Ustream on August 6, 2011.
