World Domination Tour

The World Domination Tour was Weezer's second professional tour and their first to include international dates. It was their second as a headlining act. That Dog, Shufflepuck, Teenage Fanclub, and Archers of Loaf opened for the band through four legs of the tour. This was That Dog's first professional tour.

Overview

After their first professional tour supporting the Blue Album, Weezer toured internationally for the first time to support the international release of their debut. Their first show outside of the United States and Canada was a show at the Splash Club in London, United Kingdom.

In April, the band took a two month break, during which many remained busy.[1] Rivers Cuomo would undergo surgery to correct his congenital femoral deficiency and took the break to recover,[2] Brian Bell's band the Space Twins recorded a demo, and Matt Sharp began recording an album with the Rentals.[3] A second European leg began on June 19 with a performance at Leeds Irish Centre in Leeds, United Kingdom.[2] They notably played at Glastonbury on June 24, to an audience of more than 80,000.[4]

The tour ended with a performance at the Warfield on August 20, 1995. Shortly after this performance, Weezer began recording their second album, later known as Pinkerton.[5]
