Overview
Rivers Cuomo is first known to have demoed "Happy Grunge" at a recording studio in Detroit the day before a concert on the Yahoo! Outloud Tour.[1] The song was attempted as a full band at Monster Island Studios in Washington, D.C. on May 27, 2001 during a stop off on the band's Hooptie Tour, though the song was, reportedly, not finished to anyone's satisfaction and was not among the tracks released to fans on weezer.com.[1] No demos of the song exist in fan circulation.
