From Weezerpedia

weezer 30 years ago, the Say It Aint So video was released, and the trilogy of singles from Blue was complete, with arguably the heaviest most emotional song on the album. The video was absolutely a return to the roots for weezer, after the amazing pop culture immersion of Spike Jonze’s Buddy Holly video. Sophie Muller was asked to make something that just felt like what the band was, a group of friends jamming it out, trying to make great songs. So it was back to ‘The Garage’, at 2226 Amherst Ave [demolished in 2024], where weezer started in March ‘92, and rehearsed and worked for the next year and a half, sweating it out amongst piles of gear, a working washer and dryer, and 50 square yards of old stinky used carpet that pretended to be soundproofing, but failed miserably. It was just as ineffective while shooting the video, as it turns out! The video was actually shot on 4/9/95, and here we see Karl’s shaky “b-roll” footage from that day, shot without any idea it would ever be seen again (it partially was, on 2004’s Video Capture Device DVD). Brian says “My mom still thinks I’m not shown enough in that video” Enjoy! #SayItAintSo #karlscorner
