One of the end credits gags in Mallrats shows Jay and Silent Bob going on a adventure with an orangutang named Susanne, referencing the Weezer song of the same name which appeared on the film's soundtrack and is played during the sequence.
The name was retained (albeit spelled differently) when the gag was adapted into the plot of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, the events of which would go on to be mentioned in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot:

Various references to the band and their music can be seen throughout the episode: References Sailor's Delight being a cover band is likely a reference to the popularity of Weezer's cover of Africa. Piece of Cake and Happy Hour can be heard during the band's concert. The song titles for Buddy Holly, Island In The Sun, Blue Dream and Beverly Hills can be seen on the band's setlist.
