"Acapulco" was first recorded as an acoustic instrumental during the [[DC Demos]].  It was later resurrected, with vocals, during the [[Maladroit Demos|''Maladroit'' sessions]], and, when it failed to make the album's cut, again in [[2002]] as an [[Album 5 Demos|Album 5 Demo]].  The DC Demo, ''Maladroit'' Demo, and Album 5 Demo versions were all released as mp3s at the band's [[weezer.com|official site]], but the song remains unreleased officially. The [[Catalog of Riffs]] entry for the song lists is as having been written on [[March 31]], [[2001]], with the accompanying schedule note: "WENT TO puerta vallarta with kelley".

It was later revisited with vocals, at [[Cello Studios]] during the [[Maladroit Demos|recording sessions]] for the band's fourth album, ''[[Maladroit]]''.
