[[Rivers Cuomo]] is first documented as having recorded a "prototype" of "Two to Tango" in late [[1991]] or early [[1992]] as part of an informal "[[The 50 Song Project|50 Song Project]]" with [[Patrick Wilson]], wherein the two intended to write fifty songs between them before moving forward with any new band projects.<ref name="rechist2">[[Recording History - Page 2|Weezer Recording History - Page 2]]</ref> Cuomo recorded two versions, a "prototype" at an unknown date, as well as a second version on [[January 3]], [[1992]].
