When time came for "[[Undone - The Sweater Song]]" to be released in Australia, Weezer were asked to record B-sides for the single release. The original studio they were working in malfunctioned, so they had to quickly move to Ocean Way Studios<ref name="bluelinernotes">[[Weezer (The Blue Album) Deluxe Edition liner notes|''Weezer (The Blue Album)'' Deluxe Edition liner notes]]</ref> to complete them. [[Paul du Gré]] helped engineer these sessions.

Recorded during this session were "[[Suzanne]]", "[[My Evaline]]", an unreleased version of "[[Jamie]]", and another version of "[[Mykel and Carli]]" (the version from the ''Blue Album'' sessions in New York was deemed to hard to salvage.)

{{Karlification box|Undone was scheduled for release in Australia, and B-sides were called for. The guys recorded at 2 studios in Hollywood, on 24-track machines. (studio #1 broke, so they had to move). The Electric Lady "Mykel and Carli" was determined to be a difficult thing to salvage (it still had Jason's parts on it, and the guys were playing it now better than they ever had). So they made an all new version.

Note that most Undone Promotional CD singles contain an erroneous short radio edit of "Undone", where the guitar solo in the middle is cut way short. <nowiki>(correct = 4:10, incorrect = 3:58)</nowiki> These incorrect ones outnumber the "good" ones, so are easier to find in fact. As it turns out, most radio stations played the album version anyway, so no one seemed to notice except the band.|[https://web.archive.org/web/20140519064927if_/http://daveandnikolai.com/wzr/classic/03_Recording_History/WeezRecHist6.html Weezer Recording History, Page 6]}}

{{Karlification box|I Can confirm that Jamie was tried on 7/9/94 in LA, when the b-sides were recorded. several takes were done but they only have scratch lead vocals and no backing vocals. it is cool to know that a jamie exists thats Brian playing on it, but it would take some mixing magic to make it a thing that the world could hear|[[Weezerpedia Discord Q&A With Karl Koch - August 2024]]}}
