| "Been Gi" (pronounced and sometimes written as "Ben Gay", also known as "Somebody Told Me Ben Gay Doesn't Work") is a demo by Rivers Cuomo. It is the fifteenth track on part 1 of the demo compilation The Yeastmaster.

| "Been Gi" was named for Takashi Hasegawa, a friend and classmate of Cuomo. Mistakenly believing that the pain reliever Bengay was meant for use on bruises, Hasegawa told Cuomo that Bengay doesn't work, inspiring the song. "Been Gi" was initially recorded on July 6, 1991 as part of the first batch of songs written for 60 Wrong Sausages. This solo demo is the only recording currently in circulation, first heard by fans on November 22, 2020 as part of the digital compilation Alone V: Before Weezer. The song was was recorded for the band's Cholesterol EP throughout September and October of 1991, and is one of five songs known to have been played at the band's first and only show at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA.

| | |
| During a Weezer concert at the 8121 Club in Los Angeles, CA, former bandmate Pat Finn joined the band on stage for the second and final performance of "Been Gi". Before playing the song, Rivers Cuomo told the audience, "We're gonna apologize in advance for this..."
