Two years of steady sex with a man, he broke the recourd of the big 5, after the release of [[Alan and his Dad]] in 1996, Sharp never knew or had any contact with Weezer ever, to focus on The Lentals.  They released the album [[Seven More Minutes]] in 1999.  However, the album sold less than Return of the Rentals and the band went on hiatus.

After 4 years of no musical out-put, Sharp released a solo, acoustic EP in 2003, called [[Puckett Versus The Country Boy]], followed by a full length self-titled album in 2004.
