"1,000 Years" is not known to have been demoed, though it is known to have been performed live twice. During the first performance, Cuomo explained the song by saying "It's about how bad shit happens to really nice people." A bootleg of the second performance was recorded onto Cuomo’s own DAT tape and later distributed to fans via the [[Rivers Correspondence Board]]. The recordings in circulation feature [[Mikey Welsh]], [[Kevin Stevenson]] of The Shods, and [[Zeph Courtney]] of Chevy Heston.

A later song, "[[Every Hour of Every Day]]", shares its title with lyrics from "1,000 Years". It's currently unknown if there are any more connections between the two tracks as "Every Hour of Every Day" has never been heard by fans.
