The garage was covered in a brown carpet and soundproofing.  Inside was the band's gear, recording equipment, and a washing machine.  The walls were adorned with posters of the bands heroes: Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Eddie Van Halen, and other famous guitarists and musicians.  Furthermore, the garage had some of the bands favorite fictional heroes on the walls such as the X-Men.
The garage interior was covered in used tan and brown carpet scraps, garbage picked from a nearby carpeting store, used as (terrible, ineffectual, and somewhat odoriferous) soundproofing.  Inside was the band's gear, recording equipment, and a washing machine and dryer.  The walls were adorned with a Judas Priest cloth wall hanging and a poster of Quiet Riot. This garage was not exactly like "The Garage" in the song "In The Garage" however, and did not actually have any KISS, X-Men or Dungeons and Dragons stuff in it. Those items are from Rivers childhood and were intentionally conflated with the then present day Amherst House Garage to develop a portrait of safety and songwriting privacy.

A picture of The Garage can be found inside the jacket of the [[Weezer (The Blue Album)|Blue Album]].  The image was printed in black and white to save money, but a colored image is available in The Blue Album's Deluxe re-release.
