Dondó is a macho, nihilistic, and womanizing character from Weezer’s *Songs from the Black Hole*. Along with his crewmate Wuan, he acts as a foil to Captain Jonas — where Jonas is anxious and doubtful about the mission, Dondó brushes it off and tells him to relax and have fun. At the start of the story, he has a loose, teasing connection with Jonas’s old fling, calling her his “favorite bitch from the academy.” He’s also described in songs as being “well endowed,” which adds to his image as the cocky, hyper-masculine member of the crew. In Act II, Dondó has an affair with Maria right before Jonas returns to her, creating more tension among the shipmates. While his character wasn’t fully developed in the unfinished project, fans often see him as bold, confident, and self-serving, with a love for stirring up trouble. He was also written to represent the side of the rock ’n’ roll lifestyle that Rivers Cuomo disliked but sometimes saw in himself. Dondó’s actions push Jonas closer to an emotional breakdown and emphasize the story’s themes of betrayal and heartbreak.
