Just when we thought we were free from interrupted and corrupted sleeping pattens, we were rudely awakened on the bus about 3 hours after drifting off, at the Arizona Border Patrol station on the I-8 about halfway to Phoenix. Everybody had to get up and get off the bus and wait in the warm desert wind at 3AM while officers and dogs searched everything. As always, we weren't carrying any funny stuff (nor illegal immigrants), so we were free to go and woefully attempt to re-enter the land of sleep for a few more hours till we hit Phoenix in the morning.
