Zerwee is a series of two EPs and a studio album by Billy Cobb, envisioned as pastiches of Weezer, released between the years of 2019 and 2026.
Overview
In describing the EP, Cobb has said: "I got tired of waiting for Weezer to release another good album so I made one myself".
Zerwee, Pt. 2
As a follow-up to Zerwee, this album continues the theme of repurposing Weezer's sound, however the music present in this project tends to incorporate a much moodier and low-energy sound than its predecessor. Cobb comments on the production and tone of the album in the description of its release on YouTube, stating:
<blockquote>"Some will love it I’m sure, but I also understand that it’s not quite as upbeat as the first, which might make some prefer the first. The album certainly isn’t perfect, as the guitar tones sound almost nothing like I originally intended and the album was originally supposed to have live drums, which clearly isn’t the case. I really love the songs on here, but it was just very hard for me to produce them the way they were originally intended to sound like, and this was the best I could do. It also doesn’t help that the first EP gave such high expectations, so if this isn’t quite what you expected I apologize. Still, like I said before, I really like the songs."</blockquote>
Zerwee III
Zerwee III was released on January  23, 2026, nearly six years since the release of Pt. 2. Billy Cobb detailed his reasoning for recording the album on its Bandcamp page:
<blockquote>Surprise! I know I was very vehement that I wasn’t going to do a third Zerwee project, and I meant it, but as time went on I decided that maybe I’d consider it if the timing felt right. It’s been 6 years since the last Zerwee (that’s a bigger leap than Pinkerton to Green!) and my apathetic feelings on the project have changed a bit since then, so I thought I’d complete a trilogy; it’s the year of the 3, as Gabe Newell would say. This project just bursted out of me, much like the first. Something I thought the second record lacked was the upbeat, tongue-in-cheek attitude that the first one had, and I wanted to try to capture that energy again. We could all use a little pick-me-up right now. Here’s to the new year and good fortune, and don’t go anywhere because I plan on releasing another full length album this year as well as plenty of fun videos and animations.<br>

XOXO - Billy</blockquote>
