"It's Easy" was first introduced to the band in an August 3 2003 rehearsal in which several other songs from other members were played.  At the time, it was called "It's So Easy."  [[Karl Koch]], previous to it's release listed the song as one of his top five favorite unreleased Weezer songs on the [[Albumsix]] forums.

"It's Easy" was finally released on June 3 2008 with the release of [[Weezer (The Red Album)|Red]].  In an [[Albumsix]] chat, Karl was asked why the song was released.  Karl simply stated, "I have a way of reminding people of their former glories."  It is assumed that this is also why [[I Can Love]] was released.  The official released version was recorded
