| From August 2008 until September 2008, Weezerpedia was worked on exclusively by ohjonas, megasnorkel and soupandballoons. About one month into production, ohjonas sent emails to [[Karl Koch]] and [[Sarah C. Kim]] explaining what Weezerpedia was. Responses from the two were very positive, and completely unexpected by the site creators.

| On [[September 10]], [[2008]], at 11:51 PM EST, Weezerpedia was announced on [[Albumsix]]. Promo pages were shown over the next few days to hype up the website. Shortly after, [[User:City After Six|City After Six]] was brought into the website early to help with article writing.
