==Overview== | |||
When [[Spike Jonze]] was finishing his film ''Adaptation'' in early 2002, he asked Weezer to record "Happy Together" for inclusion in the film. The band rehearsed, recorded, and even performed the song live during the spring, but for reasons unknown, Jonze decided to use The Turtles' original recording in the final cut. Weezer's studio version remains unreleased, although a live soundboard recording was released at the official site, and is frequently traded digitally online. Due to the timing of the mp3's release, it has been speculated that this live version was recorded during the same May 2002 Japanese tour that spawned the live EP ''[[The Lion and the Witch]]''. | |||
