After Rivers Cuomo tested the waters by releasing the Not Alone EP and DVD the previous year, Weezer decided to release this five-song EP for Record Store Day, and annual event promoting the awareness and patronage of local, independant music retailers.  The EP contains five previously unreleased live and session versions, supposedly hand-picked by the band.

The disc features cover art reminiscent of that of Raditude.  In fact, the cover art uses the same Weezer and Raditude logos found on the album, and superimposes Sidney the dog into a photo of the inside of a record store.

Two of the tracks, "I'm Your Daddy" and "Brain Stew", are the AOL Sessions versions from 2009.  "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" is an acoustic session that features Sara Bareilles in a duet with Rivers, just as the AOL Sessions and some live versions had.  "Why Bother?" and "Buddy Holly" are live versions.
