Shawn Everett was born and raised in Bragg Creek, Alberta. After graduating from high school, he was accepted as a work study in the Audio program in Music & Sound at The Banff Centre. Everett continued his studies as a regular Audio participant between 2001 and 2005. He had the opportunity to interact with various Grammy artists, faculty, and staff. He was also a participant when the Audio program hosted Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) Summer School.
