Shawn Everett was born and raised in Bragg Creek, Alberta. After graduating from high school, he was accepted as a work study in the Audio program in Music & Sound at The Banff Centre. Everett continued his studies as a regular Audio participant between 2001 and 2005. He had the opportunity to interact with various Grammy artists, faculty, and staff. He was also a participant when the Audio program hosted Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) Summer School. After leaving The Banff Centre, Everett moved to Los Angeles and began engineering for producer Tony Berg. During the next five years, he has collaborated as an engineer and mixer with many great artists including Bruce Hornsby, k.d. lang, Pete Yorn, Bob Dylan, Jakob Dylan, Ozomatli, Eddie Vedder, Natalie Cole, Everlast, Phantom Planet, and Randy Newman.
