Shriner's bass guitars are his 1960 and 1962 Fender Precision Bass guitars, although he can also be seen playing Lakland and Warwick bass guitars. His rig setup consists of an SVT VR and two Ampeg SVT 8x10 cabinets. For distortion, Scott uses an Electro-Harmonix bass big muff pi. Scott also uses Shure in-ear monitors.
In an [http://www.bassplayer.com/article/adjusts-to-perfect/Aug-05/12456 interview with BassPlayer.com], Scott Shriner described some of his setup on the [[Maladroit]] Tour: "At that time we were playing through Line 6 PODs—I used a Bass POD Pro. I actually had a couple of hidden (Ampeg SVT) 8x10s on the stage. They were lying on the ground pointing sideways, just so I could feel the stage move. The main difference using the POD was that my backing vocals were easier to hear, which made me sing better—singing is a huge part of the Weezer gig. We’re back to amps now. The band is always trying different things."

Now, Shriner's equipment of choice includes his 1960 and 1962 Fender Precision Bass guitars, although he can also be seen playing Lakland and Warwick bass guitars. His rig setup consists of an SVT VR and two Ampeg SVT 8x10 cabinets. For distortion, Scott uses an Electro-Harmonix bass big muff pi. Scott also uses Shure in-ear monitors.
