==Overview==
The inspiration for "Ooh" came when Rivers went to the Philharmonic’s performance of Mahler's third symphony. Rivers' "mind was blown." After seeing the performance, Rivers "resolved to incorporate the more complex arrangements and countermelodies of classical music in my rock songs." Said Rivers, "So I wrote this little vocal piece as an exercise. It's a rip-off of Smetan's ''Moldau'' but what can you do."
The inspiration for "Ooh" came when [[Rivers Cuomo]] went to the Philharmonic’s performance of Mahler's third symphony sometime in [[1992]]. Cuomo reported that his "mind was blown." After seeing the performance, he "resolved to incorporate the more complex arrangements and countermelodies of classical music in [his] rock songs." Said Cuomo, "So I wrote this little vocal piece as an exercise. It's a rip-off of Smetan's ''Moldau'' but what can you do."

On the recording, Rivers' fingers can faintly be heard snapping. This was done to serve as a metronome and keep his vocal takes "somewhat in line."
