*Not Emo: Weezer is not an emo band. Emo bands don't release songs like "I'm Your Daddy" and "The Girl Got Hot." Pinkerton was huge, though. Even though emo music probably would have happened without it, Pinkerton was a nice rallying point for all the angsty white guys that would eventually form the bands that the article talks about. *Not Emo:  When I was younger, before bands like My Chemical Romance where popular, bands that were labelled emo where bands like Nada Surf, The Get Up Kids and Jimmy Eat World. And even if Pinkerton could be seen as Weezer's most emo sounding record, it is completely different from those bands' music and even more different from today's emo music. Did Pinkerton inspire those bands? Maybe. But that doesn't make Weezer emo. --Donny 05:33, 10 January 2011 (EST)
