| ==Overview==
| |
| "No Other One" was originally written as "There is No Other One" in July of 1994. It was the last song Rivers wrote that would appear on a Weezer album before he became famous. The song is in 3/4 timing.
| |
| | |
| Rivers wrote "No Other One" about a hypothetical girlfriend caught in a spiral of drug use. Despite this and her abuse, he doesn't want to leave her due to fear of loneliness. The song also makes a reference to snakes, the first of many animal references in the album's lyrics.
| |
| | |
| An early version of the song begins with the line, "My girl's on fire," instead of, "My girl's a liar."
| |
| | |
| ==As a Black Hole song==
| |
| This song was originally intended for the abandoned Songs from the Black Hole and is therefore likely to be about Maria and sung from the perspective of Jonas. After losing his chances with Laurel, Jonas contents himself with having Maria by his side, despite his negative feelings for her. The song does not appear on Track List 2.

| |
| <lyrics>My girl's a liar
| |
| But I'll stand beside her
| |
| She's all I've got
| |
| And I don't wanna be alone
| |
| My girl don't see me
| |
| When she's with my friends
| |
| She's all I've got
| |
| And I don't wanna be alone
| |
| | |
| No there is no other one
| |
| No there is no other one
| |
| I can't have any other one
| |
| Though I would
| |
| Now I never could with one
| |
| | |
| All of the drugs she does
| |
| Scare me real good
| |
| She's got a tattoo
| |
| And two pet snakes
| |
| Nobody knows me like her
| |
| Nobody knows her like me
| |
| We're all we've got and we don't wanna be alone.
| |
| | |
| No there is no other one
| |
| No there is no other one
| |
| I can't have any other one
| |
| Though I would
| |
| Now I never could with one
| |
| | |
| No there is no other one
| |
| No there is no other one
| |
| I won't have any other one
| |
| Though I would
| |
| Now I never could with one</lyrics>
