Although so far this could all be coincidence due to people's own personal opinions, I don't think it is.  

The producing is a pattern as well when it comes to these albums!  

Their debut album [[Weezer (The Blue Album)]] was produced by [[Ric Ocasek]].   

Then after that would be [[Pinkerton]] which was a much heavier album and a much less produced album as well.  

Then their third album [[Weezer (The Green Album)]] was produced by [[Ric Ocasek]]

their next album being [[Maladroit]] a much heavier album that was much less produced.

Then next would be [[Everything Will Be Alright in the End]] which was produced by [[Ric Ocasek]]  

and after that [[Weezer (The White Album)]].
