CSB.jpg"Everybody Wants a Chance to Feel All Alone" is a demo recorded by Weezer during their "Office Demo," sessions from 2002 to 2008.

Originally known as "Place The Blame", the song was first recorded during the Steak House/Cello Demos in November of 2001. The song's title was changed to "Space Rock" by the time the band recorded it for the Glenn Sound Demos. During the sessions for Maladroit, the lyrics were rewritten (beginning with the demo from January 7th) to reflect Cuomo's frustration at the rapport (or lack thereof) he had with online fans at the time. It is unknown why the title "Space Rock" was chosen, as the song bears little resemblance to the space rock musical genre, but guitarist Brian Bell described the song as "Spacemen 3-ish" in a 2002 interview .
Also known as RC #397, the song first appears in the Recording History with the title "Furthest of Seas". It is unknown what is different between the two songs. The first known appearance of the song is on October 9, 2002, at the S.I.R. studios in Los Angeles. Rivers Cuomo was the only one present on the recording.

"Space Rock" has been performed live only six times.
The song's next appearance is as "Everybody Wants a Chance to Feel All Alone", on November 1, 2002 at the SIR acoustic rehearsal. Also recorded here was an acoustic demo of "Private Message", which has been released online for free. Following this appearance, the song was frequently rehearsed by the band acoustically. It was even played live at the Hotel Cafe on November 3, but no recording is known to exist. It is believed that the version fans have is from the November 1 set.
