Adam "Atom" Willard has made quite a name for himself in the punk music scene. Having played for bands such as Rocket from the Crypt and more recently The Offspring, the be-spectacled now plays drums full time for Tom Delonge's (of Blink-182 fame) Angels and Airwaves (abbreviated "AVA") project. Atom's drumming style changes significantly for the purpose of AVA's music, employeeing an expanded drum kit with bells and larger toms/other percussion effects.

Atom's ties to Weezer include being Patrick Wilson's drum tech for the Enlightenment Tour and being the drummer for Patrick Wilson's band The Special Goodness.

In 2008, Angels and Airwaves is currently on tour with Weezer alongside Tokyo Police Club, and later The Relationship (Brian Bell's current side-project), to help promote Weezer's Red Album.
