Weezer Hash Pipe cover.jpg"I Do" is the eleventh track from the UK and Japan editions of The Green Album and a b-side to Hash Pipe.
Weezer Pinkerton.jpg"Falling for You" is the ninth song on Pinkerton.

Along with "Always," the song is an unusual Green-era track by Weezer in that it does not feature the full band on the recording. The song was written relatively late, while Green was already in production, but did not appear on the final album.  It was released as a b-side and as a bonus track on some international editions of Green, and was performed live at every show during the Yahoo! Outloud Tour, as the set's opening number.
The song was written in spring of 1996, toward the end of the recording cycle for Pinkerton. The Catalog O' Riffs lists the song as having been written or demoed on March 20 of that year, and working lyric sheets for the song appear in The Pinkerton Diaries dated April 14 and May 23. The song was likely the penultimate song written for the album (before "Butterfly").

The song is sometimes derided for its similarity to the 1989 Billy Joel song "Leningrad". Rivers Cuomo called Billy Joel one of his "all time favs" when the comparison was pointed out on the weezer.com forums in 2002 .
The previous track, "Pink Triangle", transitions seamlessly into "Falling for You" (the first such Weezer song to do so). At the beginning of the track, a woman's voice can be heard saying, in Korean, "어는 회사작품이지요" ("What company makes this product?"). During the recording sessions, Rivers' amplifier was receiving radio interference, of what sounded like a woman speaking an Asian language. Considering the themes of the album, Rivers felt it was divine intervention, and left the intrusion on the master tape as a happy accident, rather than re-record or edit the recording.

In this song, Rivers ironically refers to himself as "little old 3 chord me", despite utilizing every root note on the fretboard. The numerous chord progressions and key changes in the song make it one of the most difficult to recreate live.
