Written around September of 1997, the song was played at various solo Rivers Cuomo concerts (and one [[Homie]] show) at clubs in Boston and Cambridge, MA. The song initially featured a bridge that was dropped from subsequent performances. The song was recorded for a full Homie album the following Winter at Fort Apache Studios by Cuomo along with [[Fred Eltringham]] (of the band [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigolo_Aunts Gigolo Aunts]) and [[Drew Parsons]] (who had played bass for [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Burdens_of_Being_Upright Tracy Bonham]). This album has never been released. The song was in [[Karl%27s_Corner_-_11/26/2000|early consideration]] for the band's [[Weezer (The Green Album)|third album]] in late November of [[2000]], but was [[Karl's Corner - 12/11/2000|cut from consideration]] upon the arrival of [[Ric Ocasek]] in early December.
