Unofficial ss2k art.jpg "O Girl" is a song from Summer Songs of 2000 and an early contender for The Green Album.
Weezer Island in the Sun cover CD.jpg "Always" is a song by Weezer. The track was recorded during sessions for The Green Album and later issued as a b-side on various single releases of "Island in the Sun."

In 2011, in a fan interview on Ustream, Brian Bell named it as one of his favorite unreleased Weezer tracks. On fansite AllThingsWeezer, Pat Wilson agreed. In 2015, Cuomo provided his own annotation for the song "Do You Wanna Get High?" on the website Genius.com, wherein he revealed that the song's subject is the same as both "O Girlfriend" and "O Girl".
"Always" was written by Rivers Cuomo in December of 1999, around the same time as the song "Island in the Sun." The song is first known to have been revisited at Cello Studios on January 2, 2001, during the recording sessions for The Green Album.

Two versions of the song were released officially. Due to an apparent oversight, Cuomo accidentally approved the wrong version of the song. This incorrect version, clocking in at 2:05, was released as a b-side for various single releases of "Island in the Sun." In October of 2001, Cuomo located the longer, correct recording of the song and, on October 13, entered the studio with Jack Joseph Puig and mixed the recording. This version appears on the Los Angeles-area radio station charity compilation Kevin and Bean: Swallow My Eggnog, as well as on a promotional single exclusive to France.
