Overview
Benjamin Hogan at the age of 14 was introduced to the song "Buddy Holly" at a football game. Quote, "I’ll never forget how infectious the melody was. I remember being outside the game ruining singing 'eww ee eww I like just like Buddy Holly.'" From there Ben bought a copy of The Blue Album and fell in love with Weezer. Fast forward to college Ben hasn't been into Weezer as much as he was when he was 14. But then Ben has the biggest break up of his life, causing him to listen to Pinkerton for the first time rejuvenating his love of Weezer. Ben soon became known as "that Weezer guy" around his college campus, solidifying his Weezer love for life. Near the end of college allthingsweezer.com was created where Ben would share his love of Weezer with like-minded fans all across the world. While not as Weezer obsessed as he was in his youth, Ben is still a fan and always will be. Today, Ben lives happily married to a wife which he met on allthingsweezer.com, and even a kid of his own. As for pets, Ben currently has two pugs.

Interactions with Weezer
The earliest known interaction between Ben and Weezer was in 2006. Ben participated in Rivers Cuomo Fan Interview 2006, asking Rivers if the lyrics of Island in the Sun had any relation to the 1906 novel "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. Rivers simply replied, "Nope". Ben's next interaction with Weezer came in 2009 at the Alone II hootenanny. Ben was present at the event, demanding during the choice between playing Jamie or Getting Up and Leaving that,

Ben's latest interaction with Weezer was by inventing the fictitious Weezer song "Kiss Me in Seattle".

Interactions with Karl Koch
Hogan would interact with Cuomo again during the Alone II hootenanny. While Cuomo contemplated whether he would perform "Jamie" or the (at the time) unreleased track "Getting Up and Leaving", Hogan shouted:
Ben has gone on record saying that he had met Karl and Patrick Wilson a year after Rivers's fan interview. Recalling that Karl visibly winced when he introduced himself as Ben Hogan. It has been speculated that since this incident, Karl has attempted to persuade the band not to tour in Texas because of Ben Hogan's residence there. In conversation with a fan, Karl mentioned that allthingsweezer had gotten a lot better and wasn't as much of a problem as it was... except for Ben Hogan. In 2020, Karl had to clarify that the song "Kiss Me in Seattle" was fictitious, though at the time Karl was unaware that it was Ben who had come up song.

Cuomo received a partial lyrics sheet from the crowd and sang the song without any backing instrumentals. This performance, alongside Hogan's interjection, would be featured on the DVD Not Alone: Rivers Cuomo & Friends Live at Fingerprints.
Trivia
*Ben also appears as a vocalist in songs by A6 Transcontinental Supergroup.

In 2020, Hogan would invent the fictitious Van Weezer song, "Kiss Me in Seattle". The song would be referenced directly by the producer of the album, Suzy Shinn, in an Instagram post featuring the song,Citation needed as well as by Karl Koch, who debunked its existence on the Weezer Fan Club Facebook group.
