==Overview==
"Lullaby for Wayne" was one of fifteen tracks considered for the band's 1994 debut, ''[[The Blue Album]]'', but the song would not make it to the proper recording sessions. A pre-production recording, done with Ric Ocasek, from August 11, 1993 exists and eventually surfaced on the 2004 deluxe edition of ''The Blue Album''. Fans generally theorize that the reason the song was cut was due to its similarity to "[[Surf Wax America]]".
