Reception
Pasadena received above-average reviews compared to their last album Spending Time on the Borderline. Despite this, the album failed in both sales and singles failing to gain any traction. Because of the failure of the album, the band wasn't motivated to write any new songs. This lead to the seven-year gap between this album and the next album, Boomtown, and motivation only coming back after the Weezer Cruise.citation needed
