Too Many Thoughts in My Head: Difference between revisions

I'm rolling back these edits because they don't really make sense without context (also we should not insert commentary into a quote without making it explicit). I'll put in a 'Known recordings' table sometime soon.

The song's bridge shares its melody with the song "君はサイクロン" ("Cyclone") from the Scott & Rivers album "ニマイメ" ("Naimaime"). According to an interview with Cuomo, The chorus is also taken from a 1997 song:

Oh, here’s two old bits you might interested in: “Too Many Thoughts In My Head,” that chorus is from 1997 [it was in fact from 1998]. I wrote that at Cole Rehearsals. It’s amazing it survived this long and now it’s getting used, maybe. “I’m Just Being Honest” is from one of my Japanese albums. The verse and chorus from that.

The aforementioned chorus surfaced on Alone VI: The Black Room , with a 1998 lofi sketch recording showing Rivers playing the chorus on an organ. In 2013, Rivers resurrected the chorus and added rap verses to it, as found on Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years. In 2018 Rivers sent the song to Sitek who liked it (as seen on the Sitekrating metadata of the song), thus, after further rewriting, it ended up on The Black Album.

The 2013 version had a 'Masterpiece' metadata rating of 5 (the max score), suggesting it was considered for OK Human.
Demos of the song were released on the digital compilations Alone VI: The Black Room and Alone XI: The EWBAITE Years in 2020.
