 In college, Hogan had fallen out of interest in Weezer. Ben then goes through a major breakup, causing him to listen to [[Pinkerton]] for the first time, restoring his interest in the band. He soon became known as "that Weezer guy" around his college campus. Near the end of his college years, the Weezer forum [[allthingsweezer.com]] was created. While not as Weezer obsessed as he was in his youth, Ben is still a fan and always will be.

-Hogan married AllThingsWeezer user Goat Punishment in 2010, with whom he had one son. Ben announced in [[2021]] that after 11 years of marriage, he had discovered that his wife had been cheating on him and stated that both of them were looking into a divorce, in which they would have split custody over their son. On [[July 13]] of [[2022]] after Hogan had been unable to contact his wife or child for more than a week, a divorce was filed. Ben currently has two pugs.
