"Conversationalist" is a re-titled cover of "So Much Talk" by Wax. Weezer performed the song live a handful of times during their early days.
Overview
"Conversationalist" was performed live during the band's first tour in August of 1992, but has never been played again. Karl Koch recorded these shows, but these bootlegs have never circulated and the song was never recorded by the band. According to Koch, Weezer's version omitted the original's first two verses and chorus, picking up about halfway through Wax's album version. It was otherwise "a fairly straight cover," and, when played live, it "usually disintegrated after about 2-3 minutes of raucous repetition (sort of like the original).".
