This page does not aim include ''all'' [[Template:Navbox Weezer-related bands|bands that have included Weezer members]]. Instead, it only features bands that performed at least one live concert in the time of their existence. This excludes, for example, [[Rivers Cuomo]] and {{PN|Pat Wilson}} group [[Fuzz]], which merely rehearsed and recorded material and never performed in public for a formal audience. It also does not exclusively feature bands that existed ''prior'' to Weezer's formation - instead, it lists bands that Weezer members performed with before they personally joined Weezer. Bands that [[Mikey Welsh]] and [[Scott Shriner]] performed with before auditioning for Weezer are therefore included as well.
