"'''Last Chance'''" (also known as "'''Our Last Chance'''", formerly known as "'''Always, Forever'''" and "'''The Strong Ones'''", possibly previously titled "'''Purple Flowers'''") is an unreleased Weezer song originally recorded in contention for ''[[Make Believe]]'', one of which [[Karl Koch]] would later dub the "[[The Fallen Soldiers|Fallen Soldiers]]". [[Rivers Cuomo]]'s demo of the song was released in November [[2020]] as a part of the digital compilation ''[[Alone IX: The Make Believe Years]]''.

The song, when it was still called "Always, Forever" and later "The Strong Ones", was demoed several times by [[Rivers Cuomo]] from February to July of 2004 at the S.I.R. rehearsal studio. The final studio version of the song was recorded during the band's second attempt at making ''Make Believe'', at Grandmaster Recorders in Los Angeles, CA. The sessions lasted from July 22 to October 22, 2004. It was one of 12 songs that Cuomo asked to band to only concentrate on, which he felt were the right songs for the album. The song features backing vocals by [[Patrick Wilson]], [[Brian Bell]], [[Scott Shriner]] and [[Karl Koch]]. Until early [[2005]], the song was designated to be the second track. The song was later listed as the eleventh track on the [[March 25]], 2005 [[:File:Amazon_screenshot_(1).jpg|Amazon.com tracklisting]] of ''Make Believe''. Ultimately the song was excluded from the final track list for unknown reasons.  

In a stickam.com chat, Koch played a few short clips of several "Fallen Soldiers" songs, including "Last Chance". Karl Koch named the 11 songs that were finished but not used for ''Make Believe'' "[[The Fallen Soldiers]]".

 

According to the [[The 4 and 5 Star Demos of Rivers Cuomo]], the song shares a [[COR]] number with the song title "Purple Flowers".
